"VERY PLEASED"

Words from the kidney doctor this morning!  So, kidneys are better and liver numbers are better.  White blood cell count is still high so the kidney doc is going to talk to Tom's PCP about what the cause might be.  They've done every kind of culture they can do and they are all clear - that is good news but we still need to find the root of this infection. His ammonia level was still high too so they will probably be giving him an extra dose of the "yucky" medicine to help get that back down.  Please pray that whatever they find can be treated in a way that won't upset the progress made with the kidneys and liver.

Cathy will be visiting with Tom today.  Jenn is playing with the puppies and she is also going to take them to get their "nails done".

Our yard now has one less tree.  I'm happy that there was no more damage in last nights storms.  I hope the other 2 trees will survive - at least a little while longer.

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful Easter weekend in Nashville.  I am looking forward to a long weekend and some family time!

Here is a thread about liver itch. Although Tom is not in end-stage liver disease, the Symptoms are the same because of his liver acting up. I have heard there can be some relief with Gold Bond Extra Strength, Red and Green bottle, don't know for sure though.
Still praying for him, for complete recovery. It can be long and slow, but any progress is good progress. I have a friend who had MRSA staph infection 2 months ago, and was so bad he didn't even know who or where he was, and was in and out of intensive care. He was completely disoriented. Now, a few months later, he is moving out of the hospital and into an apartment with a caregiver. He is almost back to his old self. Sometimes it's 2 steps forward and 1 step back.
One thing about the liver. It has an incredible ability to regenerate and heal.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
