Tom is having dialysis today so he's quickly eating breakfast so they can come and get him.  He'll probably be in dialysis for 3.5 hours which means he'll be out of his room for 4-5 hours.  He has the sports section of the paper and his iPad (but he'll probably sleep).

His RN (a good one for today) said there are orders for him to sit in a chair 3 times a day.  Wonder how long those orders have been in place?  So, he'll be sitting more and more which will be good for him even if he doesn't see it that way.

He's complaining of a lot of itching so hopefully that is the bilirubin escaping his body.  I'm anxious to see the numbers when the labs come back.  It doesn't look like he has a rash today so that is good.  I've brought some lotion from home to help keep him more comfortable.

Don't panic if you don't get a mid-day report.  I'm going to try to get some things done while he's in dialysis but will hopefully have another good report this evening.
