MINUTE IS UP

Sorry - that has been a really long minute!!

Tom has just finished eating a more solid food dinner.  It consisted of cream soup, yogurt, pudding, milk, etc.  He let me drink his sweet tea.  He now has possession of his iPad so he's pretty happy about that.  Don't know how secure it is going to be but we'll just have to take that chance.  The wireless network here has been pretty good.

He starts physical therapy (PT) tomorrow which will also be very good for him.  I am anxious to meet with the doctors (hopefully in the morning) to see what they think of his progress this weekend.  All three of us are going home tonight - scary for me because I just hate leaving him.

Some good friends of mine came to visit after church today.  He is a medical doctor and sat down and basically said give me all of your questions.  We unloaded on him!  His answers were so much easier to understand - what a gift!  He also gave us some good questions to ask and followed up with providing his cell phone number so we could call or text him the answers.  They brought food too!  At the end of his visit, he led us in prayer.  We are so very blessed by wonderful friends.

My niece and nephew sent some beautiful flowers - Tom cannot have them in his room so we will enjoy them at home.  They also sent lunch from Pizza Hut - pasta, breadsticks and chocolate dessert sticks . . . yum!

Probably the worst part of leaving camp CCU is we will have to relinquish 2 recliners.  There are only 3 in the entire waiting room.  It took us 2 days to "acquire" the two we have.  So tomorrow it's back to the uncomfortable chairs - all locked together - in a big row.  I'm going to try to post some pictures so you can see where we've been living these last 11 days.

Camp CCU

Tomorrow's first post might be delayed depending on when we can see the doctors.
