Recovering

Tom has recovered nicely from surgery this morning. Other than some pain it's been a pretty good evening. It appears Tom will be here until at least Tuesday with the holiday and all. They are having trouble finding a SNF bed from our limited selection. Dr. Rutland indicated he would have to go somewhere soon and it may not be one of our choices. The social worker says he will stay here until a bed opens. I'm trying not to worry about it but we've added a couple of places to the list that really won't be that easy to work with. Tom seems to understand it will limit the amount of time I can visit him but I know he wont like it. The place he wants to go (where he was last year) only has one wound care nurse for the whole facility. That could be a problem. I just keep praying for him to end up in the very best place possible.
