Tom is out of surgery. Dr. Echhoff was called away so Dr. Gray did the surgery. He was the doc that knocked our socks off during the transplant evaluation period. He remembered us.
I also spoke with the recovery room nurse. She said Tom was alert and had some pain at the incision site so they've given him something for that. He will be going to a regular room tonight so that is good news.
I don't know how long it will be before I can see him. It may not be until they move him to his room. I'll send another post once we get settled there.
