That pretty much says it all. The on-call doc was considering letting Tom go home tomorrow but at that point of the weekend - it really wouldn't matter. So, he's going to stay and continue to get the antibiotics which is probaby the best thing to do. They didn't send him home with any oral antibiotics last time, I'm curious as to whether they will do that this time. Obviously this infection is not going away and probably won't until they can get into his abdomen and fix whatever is wrong. It would be nice to be able to go ahead and get that done during this stay but I don't know if that is possible. I guess we'll wait to see what his PCP says on Tuesday.
Tom is doing well. He did get up and walk in the hall today. He was pretty happy to have 2 long auto races to watch!
I guess that's it for this post. I better head to bed. The puppies don't understand weekends and holidays and "sleeping in" so we'll probably be up pretty early again!
