FEELING BETTER

Tom has been home for 24 hours and is feeling a little better.  He slept really well last night - considering he can't push a button and move the bed up and down so he had to work a little harder to get in and out and for that reason - he is sore.

It's been a good day for him though.  He sat outside for a little while, which is hard to believe since it is pretty hot here and he usually doesn't like that.  He said it felt good.

The puppies are loving that he is home.  They are climbing all over him.  At one point last night, I woke up and Fritzi was laying on top of him.  Finley likes to snuggle between his knees which works for about 30 minutes and then he needs to move - so she ended up sleeping between my knees (again).

It's been wonderful just to be at home.  Our super wonderful neighbors who helped us last night brought over the most amazing dinner of pork roast, twice-baked potatoes, asparagus, garden salad with dressing, garlic bread and frozen strawberry pie. I was digging in before they even walked back to their front door.  It was so good.  We have enough food to eat all week!

We have Tom's meds/vitamins all organized on a spreadsheet so he knows what to take and when (along with the dosage and what each one is for).

For now, Tom is resting and doing what he can to get stronger.  He's already called the physical therapist so I'm sure they will have something arranged to start that again shortly!

God continues to carry us through this tough time.
